Hey, this is Mel! I am going to post this on www.coolquiz.com because I am a reporter there, and I thought I would share it with you too. I wrote this myself, enjoy, and let me know if you like the results!
Want Bright Eyes?
First, let me tell you this; It is not an essential, but plucking your eyebrows (just a bit) works as an instant eye-lift, thats right! Leave your natural shape, just pluck the strays underneith. (The ones that are all alone) If you don't dare to do that, it's not the end of the world, you can still have beautiful bright eyes that stand out. It's easy! Just follow these simple steps...
1.) Take a nice color, like light pink or light purple, and cover your eyelid up to the crease. (almost half of the skin between your lashes and brow) Pink looks cute and young, purple looks more bold and strong, but either way your eyes will be bright in the end!
2.) Find a light, whitish-beige, or even whitish-purple shimmer eyeshadow. (I find Maybelline makes awsome eyeshadow!) But it has to be almost white. If it is a solid eyeshadow, use a sponge tip applicator and apply it right beneith your eyebrow. Do the same with powder shimmer, except use a brush, if you have one, and put a little bit on your brows as well.
3.) Get a darker version of the same color, if you used purple get a darker purple, and if you used pink, get a darker pink. Apply this in between the two colors you just applied on the crease.
4.) Now take an unused sponge-tip applicator and blend the dark color with the light one, and the bottom color with the middle color so it kind of fades from one color to another, and doesn't look blotchy.
5.) Mascara time! I do this last so the eyeshadow does't fall onto my wet lashes and stick there. If you have light hair and fair skin I suggest brown mascara, if you have darker skin and hair, I suggest black mascara. (But either will do) Before you apply the mascara, curl your lashes if you have an eyelash curler. This really makes a difference! I wouldn't suggest putting mascara on the bottom lashes. This attracts attention off the wonderfull job you just did on your eyes.
6.) Last, the finishing touch! Take some of that shimmer eyeshadow and apply just a little but under your eye, right under your bottom lashes. This opens your eyes and makes them sparkle! I hope you like the result of your new bright eyes!
