hey..i know what you're saying! my dad is homophobic and one of my friends too. there's a scholarship by matthew sheppard (i think that's his name...he's the guy who got murdered for being homosexual) and what it is is that the person will get books for 4 years and a ride to college for being openly homosexual. there's a senior at my school who got it (he's a real nice guy) and a lot of people were standing up for him..it was quite touching. my friend who's homophobic was sitting next to me and her face was sooo red! i said "what do you think of that" she said "i'm not saying a word" so i tell my dad about the guy and he says "i think all the gay *beep* have mental problems" OMG!! oi...i could keep going on, but i'll spare ya . btw, nice post! |

Hmm..Well hun, that's your opinion..Me, i'm sorry I don't like it, I think it's wrong, but I don't make fun for them because of it, I usually just keep my opinion about it to myself, that's better then hurting someone's feelings to me..but if that's the way they choose to live, then that's their life..Maybe the reason some get picked on is because others feel the way I do, they feel as though it's wrong and unnatural..hmm..you have to see both sides I suppose.. |

I agree with you 100%. Just because someone has different preferences doesn't make them anything less than someone else. I even have a friend whose bisexual and she's cool. I actually do get slightly offended when someone does say negative things about others that chose to be different from everyone else, i don't find it right to do.. because like you said they have feelings and such just like anyone else. Just cuz someone chooses to be a certain way doesn't make them less human. Awesome post and topic to bring about. ~EndlessDreamer~ |

i see no problem they have relationship issues just like any straight person they have feelings just like anyone else... i have a great friend who just happens to be gay... when i met him he was a straight virgin now.... he's well the complete opposite and is in a 2 year gay relationship... i think the younger generation is more accepting of these types of people and relationships then alot of the older generation.. when they grew up with was something to be ashamed of and those feelings fought and kept in the closet.... now it's perfectly ok to let people know what you are... being a minority... ANY MINORITY doesn't make you less of a person |

I don't agree with people being gay/lesbeian but I don't say mean things about them, yes they are people too. I've have a few friends who aren't straight and they are really nice people. I wish people wouldn't say bad things about them though, its just wrong to talk about people like that. I love watching that True Life stuff on MTV, they always have some interesting things that make you think. -BreathingBody |
