JAMIE'S STORY.........PART FOUR...........ReleaseMe

Jamie had tried to call Troy that night, but no one would answer. Saturday passed without a word from Troy. The rejection was killing Jamie. She didn’t know what to do. Sunday came and went, and still no word from Troy. Jamie was really dreading Monday. How would Troy react to her at school, in front of all of their friends? Would he even talk to her?

The dreaded day was here; it was Monday morning and time for school. Jamie was debating if she should call it a sick day. But she had to see Troy. She had to fix whatever was wrong. She had to make things right between them no matter what.

As Jamie was walking down the hall to her locker, she was suddenly face to face with Troy, but he wasn’t alone. Monica Howard was on his arm, of all people! Monica had a reputation around school as being the “easy girl.” What was Troy doing with Monica?

Jamie was so hurt. She felt the tears welling up in her eyes. She quickly turned around and headed straight for the restroom. Jamie burst through the bathroom door and began to sob uncontrollably. How could Troy leave her for Monica? Suddenly Lisa Miller, Monica’s best friend, walked into the bathroom. She saw Jamie crying and she knew what had happened.

Jamie asked her what Monica was doing with Troy, her boyfriend. Lisa told her that there was a rumor going around that Troy had dumped her because she wouldn’t go all the way with him, and now he was with Monica, for obvious reasons.

Jamie couldn’t believe it. She had thought that Troy loved her. She loved him. How could he leave her? She had to get him back, no matter what the cost. She couldn’t let Monica have him. Troy was her boyfriend.
