There are many types of evil trees. In New Jersey we have one called "The Devils Tree". Let me dig up some information on it, I'll post about it. It's the freakiest tree. O.o; I'd say either stay away from it, or keep exploring it. But don't damage it in any way, some trees have bad consequences when you hurt them... So some tales go.  ~deadstar |

Sometimes, whether people believe it or not, things around us can have such bad vibes and make us feel weird, but it really isnt the item itself. It can be something near the tree lurking and making you feel that way, kinda like protecting its territory, I dont know, just a thought ~*~ Xiomie ~*~  |

I don't see how a tree in itself can be evil. It may be large and look creepy. But remember its a living thing, a plant. It's only goal is photosynthesis so as to stay alive and possibly grow even larger. However, bad things may have happened around that tree, giving off the bad vibes to anyone strong enough to pick up on them.  |

At the end of the field there is a huge hideous looking tree with a branch that extends perfectly parallel to the ground. It is said that the tree was used to hang slaves on and still has a chilling aura to it. You can see marks on the trunk from people attempting to chop it down, they say whoever tries, something bad happens to and sometimes a pickup truck will try to chase you out.' Well, trees are living things. The do have a spirit. Therefore, it is possible for a tree to have a "bad", or "unpleasant" spirit, or vibration. However, I would think what you really felt, were spme nearby Wood Sprites, or Elements.Of, course, I could be wrong. I would love to see pictures of the tree, too! However, trust your instincts, since you love Nature, and still felt uncomfortable, there was a good resaon for it. Peace....  |

I agree with Mike that some bad things may have happened around the tree, but the tree itself is not evil. Evil is a choice made by humans, not trees.  |
