Donkey story

One day a farmer's donkey fell ito a well. The animal brayed piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old and the well needed covering anyway, so it just wasn;t worth it to retrieve the donkey. he invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. then, to everyone's amazment, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit the donkeys back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of theanimal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Before long, the donkey was able to step over the edge and trot off.

Life is is like that farmer. It is going to shovel dirt on you from time to time- all kinds of dirt. The trick is dealing with it is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our trobles is a stepping-stone. We can get out of our deepest problems just by refusing to stop, by not giving up! Shake them off and take a step up!

Always remember these five simple rules to happiness:

1. Free your mind from worries. 2. Free your heart from hatred. 3. Expect less. 4. Live simply. 5. Give more.

P.S. The donkey later came back and kicked the holy ever-lovin crap ot of the farmer who tried to bury him.
