Making a Scrapbook for an ailing mother.

Scrapbooking has always been a hobby I've been intrested in. I just never really acted upon it before. Well, with the health problems that my mother has recently acquired, I've realized that I don't have alot of time to get my feelings, history, and love in something that would endure time. I know how I feel about my mother. I know how she loves me and has sacrificed many things for me, now I want to show that to my family. My family of the future. Scrapbooking is the perfect outlet to do that. I've decided to make one for her birthday. Her birthday is in July and I am hoping to have finished it by then. She doesn't have alot of time left, and I want to give her something from my heart. Something I've put my energy and love into. I, however, had to let her in on the secret a little because I needed old photos of her family. Her mother, father, aunts and uncles, and pictures of her wedding. I also needed to know about her graduation, her favorite colors and favorite things. Her favorite past times and all her favorite events that have stood out in her mind over the years. To do that and gain that knowledge I had to ask her. So I did. I however, did leave it a secret as to what I was exactly going to do with this information. I think this is a great idea for people that want to archive thier family history. A way of writing and showing what that person did in thier lives. I think it is a great way to leave something behind after that person has gone home. This is a great journey and life and I feel that leaving a log of some kind is important. If anyone has any great ideas, please share them, I would greatly appreciate it and wish me luck, I want this to be perfect. Thanks for Reading. :)

How it changed my life:

It tells me that you can live life, and still record it in a fashion that is all your own. I love this idea. :)
