Girl, I am glad you get to keep your job. In february my company had it's 2nd lay offs totalling 1300+ people. I've been lucky so far and it seems to be working for the company too. We made a good profit this past quarter. Good luck to you! |

My parents have been working for over 23 years in their company and have top sinority and are at risk of being laid off. It's sad, but this is going on all over the place. More than likely they will both lose their job at one time when it happens which is expected within the next 5 years. Talk about a fun experience to look forward to. Unfortunately there is no way they would even come close to making the same amount of money when this happens. ( |

I hate how they have so many cutbacks and layoffs. My parents almost got layed off after working at Textronix over 15 years. They had to cut my hours at my work also. I used to be full time but the department and job that I do is now part time. I'm still glad that I have the job though. But I need more hours...stupid bills. They had to get rid of some workers also. It's good to hear that you're still employed. It's a scary thought wondering if you're going to have a job or not, ya know? Sad about the other workers though. |

Actually BCAR I DO know my place there and its secure! Today my crew broke the previous record on Lattice machine #2. I was the operator. The previous record was 1850, we got 1872!! I have only been employed there 8 and a half months and I am not being layed off, wheras some that have been there for years are going..One thing about no union..they dont have to go by seniority..they keep their best workers and lay the rest off..I guess I am in that elite group of best workers! LOL |
