Ok exmas are staing this coming Monday and for my English exam we have to give one speech. Well I am not good at ideas and the hardest part for me is coming up with a topic! My teacher is starting exams on Friday though so we can get them in on time. Smart me .... I signed up in the last slot for Friday! The speech is worth 40 points of our exam grade and it needs to be 3-5 minutes long. She is giving us three options. We can do an Informative speech, Persuasive speech, or an Entertainment speech. I was thinking of an entertainment speech but I can't really think of any good stories! So I was thinking maybe an informative speech or something? It would just REALLY help me if you could give me some topics so I can think of what I can do! Thanx I appreciate it!!

I was thinking I could do something on informing people about child abuse or show them how to do sign language ... think that would work?

He went to a Special Deaf Event at a park - and thought he was signing, "Thank you!" Mothers were grabbing their children and running away - the sign was messed up and something porographic! He survived! RAT

When you have strong views on something you will find that its easier to just get up there and speak about it ... chuck in a few facts and you'll be laughing. Best of luck

Date: 5/28/2003 9:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 11240    I remember a speech a fellow classmate gave years ago that was informative, persuasive and entertaining. He spoke about thumbs. Another time this same guy gave a speech about how useful vice-grips were. As long as you know and like your subject, giving a speech on it shouldn't cause you any stress. Good luck and God Bless.
