Hi all!! I'm sitting here at work trying to stay awake since I only got a whole 3 hours of sleep last night!!!!! **yawns** I had quite an adventure last night...LOL. I get home from work after midnight every night. Well, last night I did like normal and came in and let my dog Peanut out to go do her business and then brought her back in. I had a friend of mine come over (she works 2nd shift also) and we sat around talking until about 2 am. After she left, I got ready to turn in for the night when Peanut did her "I gotta go outside right now!" dance, so I get up out of bed and go to the back door. No sooner did I get the door open and reach down for her chain than she goes BOLTING out the door. Come to find out there is a stray dog on the loose. I go running after her wearing my PJ's, no shoes, no glasses (so I can't even see her) and run right into the neighbors cactus!! OUCH!!!! Now, I am saying a few choice words and my dog is gone!!!!! I walk around calling for her but can't find her ANYWHERE! By this time, I'm starting to cry because I figured I will never see her again. I walked around until 3:30am looking for that stupid dog. Then, about a half a mile away from the house, here comes a police officer. At first he thought I was a drunk, until he saw who I was (I work for the police dept...LOL) so we rode around until 4:30 looking for my dog with the spotlight. By then, I had given up and figured she was gone for good. The officer drove me home and as I was getting out of the car, there sat Peanut on the front porch looking at me like "where have you been?". The officer started laughing at me cuz I was yelling and hugging her at the same time. Needless to say, I didn't get to sleep until 6 am. Talk about a long night. Hopefully, when I get off work tonight, I can go home and go right to bed!!!!!!!
