This is a very confusing dream, could anyone help me? -Running Wolf-

This starts out in the present. I was with a group of friends and it was some special occasion because we were all dressed up in prom dresses. I had never seen these girls before but I knew they were my friends. We went to this poor apartment complex and my one friend met up with a guy and then all my other friends left me with this guy. I didnt know who he was, nor did I know his name. Throughout the rest of the dream, and after, I still don't know his name. Anyway, for some reason I really wanted to have sex with him, and we started to, but he stopped and then he told me to meet him later that night. I went back home and my dad wouldnt let me leave the house, even though I tried to tell him that I needed to leave or else this guy would be gone forever. My dad finally let me go, or I escaped (I can't remember which) and then I started running down the street trying to get to the guys apartment. But, I couldnt remember where the apartment building was so I had to ask my brother and I ran all over town searching. I finally got to this really pretty gold, peach and cream colored Victorian house and I went in. It was an old orphanage for young men in the previous century, but now it was a fancy restaurant or hotel. I went up into one of the rooms and I found this jewelry chest sitting on an old bed. I knew it was the guy's even though no one ever told me it was. So I opened it and was looking through it and I realized that the guy had been dead for 100 years, though no one told me this at the time either. I got scared because I didn't understand how he could be dead, and did that mean that I was in love with a ghost? I kept going through the drawers, and I found a little black box and opened it. In it, was a diamond engagement ring. I gasped and ran downstairs (the stairs were red velvet carpet) and I sat down next to people who were eating and asked them about it. They told me that the guy died 100 years ago while waiting for his lover to come back for him so that he could propose to her. After that I woke up.

I have a very uneasy feeling right now, and I woke up depressed, scared, confused, and almost in tears this morning. If anyone can help me shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it so much, I'm very upset about this now. I feel as though my dream was trying to tell me something, but I'm just so confused.
