Good for you. I only did it when my husband was deployed in the military. He loves those jobs. Never forget one day - hot, and neighbors dog got out. I always tried to keep my cool. But on the side of our house, the dog ran at me and jumped up - I completely ignored him. He really only grabbed my clothing - then the owners came out and took him in. They said I was "crazy" and I was. Do not understand how anyone can enjoy mowing - and, at that time, it was the old push mower! RAT |

Well I used til I mowed right over teh top of a snake....My husband came running when he heard me screaming cause he thought I had mowed over my foot or something the way I was screaming. LOL But it is really good exercise especially for me cause we have a little over an acre of land  |

LOL...my mother never wanted me near a lawnmower..but, i have mowed lawns since i was 13 or so...she still gives me the speech about the whole "don't run ur toes over, or don't stick ur fingers under there" blah blah..lol she has always been overly protective, i suppose it's good..i still have my fingers and toes   |

yep. I love mowing the lawn. Problem is, so do both my mom and dad. So it's kind of interesting to see who's gonna notice first how long the grass is getting. Whenever I notice, i tell myself, "ok..i'll get out there and mow it tomorrow, since i dont work", but, nooo..my dad somehow reads my mind and gets out there the day before while i'm at work lol  |

I have only mowed the lawn once. I would do it more for my mom ... maybe ... but she won't let me! She is a lawn fanatic. The time I actually got to mow the lawn she only let me mow half of the back yard! The grass grows one inch and she is out there mowing. Its kinda funny though  |

i mow sometimes, but not too often. i have a bad grass allergy, and it limits how much i can do. i never could do it on the push mower, but i can either do the front yard or the back yard since we got the riding mower. it's so much faster with the riding mower i can actually complete one of the yards without sneezing my brains out and my eyes swelling shut! lol.  |

Well I love cutting grass and weed-eating too. I have been cutting grass since I was about twelve and I am better at it than the guys in my house, husband and son! I am more careful and I do more edge trimming than they do. I believe that not trimming at the same time as cutting is like a man getting a haircut and they don't trim around his ears!! I cut hair too!! I am proud you like it and you don't mind helping out your dad. I am 55 and still love it.  |

Hmmm I can tell you this much. My sister-in-law mows mine, my mothers and her yard as well. But she has it made as well. A six foot wide mowing deck, radio, beverage holder and an umbrella to boot. The lawn tractor can run as fast as 21 mph dragging this mower around obliterating everything in its path. Us "Guys" operate the weedeater and get what she barely misses. Needless to say its safer to park our cars in the middle of the high way when she is mowing. But she really enjoys it and has lots of fun afterwards. She will take my tractor and mow around the pond and deep into the woods she and her trusty, rusty tractor will go. Off to feed squirrells, coons and deer. And she keeps going and going and going.....  |
