Hey, Im wondering how many of you girlies out there mow your lawn? I just got in from mowing mine. And believe it or not, I dont mind it at all ( except when its 95 degrese out and Im passing out from lack of oxygen) It saves my dad alot of the trouble and time. I figure he's been doing it his whole life, so I should give him the break. Plus, it counts as excersize!!!

XoXo

Shimmerkiss

Date: 5/23/2003 8:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 54247    Good for you. I only did it when my husband was deployed in the military. He loves those jobs. Never forget one day - hot, and neighbors dog got out. I always tried to keep my cool. But on the side of our house, the dog ran at me and jumped up - I completely ignored him. He really only grabbed my clothing - then the owners came out and took him in. They said I was "crazy" and I was. Do not understand how anyone can enjoy mowing - and, at that time, it was the old push mower! RAT

Date: 5/23/2003 9:04:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6915    LoL, Tina. nakey huh? well, the neighbors should mind their own business. haha
Date: 5/23/2003 9:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 47930    I do ours and the weed eating also, since I am at home and hubby works all day there is no reason he should have to do it..
Date: 5/23/2003 9:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 33517    I mow the lawn at my house...Hubby does not do it right...And I want it done right...I don't mind mowing...It beats housework...The only thing I don't like is the misquito's and all the other bugs that are out here in the country...**Big Canadian Hugs**
Date: 5/23/2003 9:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 53558    I do all that kinds of stuff, Shimmerkiss. Great big hugs. Take care.
Date: 5/23/2003 9:12:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6915    Tina, how can a man mow the lawn wrong? hehe
Date: 5/23/2003 9:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 22433    yep. I love mowing the lawn. Problem is, so do both my mom and dad. So it's kind of interesting to see who's gonna notice first how long the grass is getting. Whenever I notice, i tell myself, "ok..i'll get out there and mow it tomorrow, since i dont work", but, nooo..my dad somehow reads my mind and gets out there the day before while i'm at work lol
Date: 5/23/2003 10:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    I don't mind it as long as its not too how out lol. Like you said, great exercise.
Date: 5/23/2003 11:17:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6915    H...LoL. your not one of those people who mow @ 6am or 10pm are you?
Date: 5/23/2003 11:25:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    Now, the real question is how many of you girls want to come and mow my lawn.
Date: 5/23/2003 11:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 61104    I do and I love doing it because of the exercise and it gives me time to think. BB
Date: 5/23/2003 11:39:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6915    Wild...LoL. Do it youself
Date: 5/23/2003 12:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    not once have i mowed a lawn.. nor have i pumped gas*LOL*
Date: 5/23/2003 12:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    I've done it before, but we have people to do that for us
Date: 5/23/2003 12:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 943    I'm 40 and have never had to mow a lawn. One day I will though! Maybe! hahahaha
Date: 5/23/2003 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 33573    I have only mowed the lawn once. I would do it more for my mom ... maybe ... but she won't let me! She is a lawn fanatic. The time I actually got to mow the lawn she only let me mow half of the back yard! The grass grows one inch and she is out there mowing. Its kinda funny though
Date: 5/23/2003 12:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 18169    i mow sometimes, but not too often. i have a bad grass allergy, and it limits how much i can do. i never could do it on the push mower, but i can either do the front yard or the back yard since we got the riding mower. it's so much faster with the riding mower i can actually complete one of the yards without sneezing my brains out and my eyes swelling shut! lol.

Date: 5/23/2003 12:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 18169    sorry bout that! accidentally double sent it!
Date: 5/23/2003 12:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 39887    Well I love cutting grass and weed-eating too. I have been cutting grass since I was about twelve and I am better at it than the guys in my house, husband and son! I am more careful and I do more edge trimming than they do. I believe that not trimming at the same time as cutting is like a man getting a haircut and they don't trim around his ears!! I cut hair too!! I am proud you like it and you don't mind helping out your dad. I am 55 and still love it.
Date: 5/23/2003 1:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    I don't. I can't even be around a freshly mowed lawn. I have terrible allergies.
Date: 5/23/2003 2:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 53284    I have to admit that I have a fondness for women who like to work with power tools. One of the things that most impressed me about my wife, way back when we were first dating, was that she could use a hammer left handed.
Date: 5/23/2003 2:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I don't mind mowing the lawn at all. But me and my bf agreed that he would mow the lawn if I raked up the leafs. We just did a bunch of yard work yesterday. He weed wacked and I dug out weeds. It was hot too but a good workout
Date: 5/23/2003 2:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 3538    I don't mow the lawn and I hope I never have to. My dad does that for a living, so I am luck that he takes care of that. Lawnmowers scare me.
Date: 5/23/2003 8:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 855    Well I'm not really a "Girl"...more like a "old girl" {38}...but i love mowing the grass.. I like when I'm done and look at how nice the lawn looks and say to myself.."Dam* You have a nice looking lawn!!!" lol
Date: 5/24/2003 11:00:00 AM  From Authorid: 4144    i used to a lot but i'm old now! seriously, my husband has to do it all now because of my allergys. my throat swells if i'm out in it too long. NOT GOOD!!
Date: 5/25/2003 7:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 54570    Hmmm I can tell you this much. My sister-in-law mows mine, my mothers and her yard as well. But she has it made as well. A six foot wide mowing deck, radio, beverage holder and an umbrella to boot. The lawn tractor can run as fast as 21 mph dragging this mower around obliterating everything in its path. Us "Guys" operate the weedeater and get what she barely misses. Needless to say its safer to park our cars in the middle of the high way when she is mowing. But she really enjoys it and has lots of fun afterwards. She will take my tractor and mow around the pond and deep into the woods she and her trusty, rusty tractor will go. Off to feed squirrells, coons and deer. And she keeps going and going and going.....
Date: 5/25/2003 8:28:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6915    joe.....LoL
Date: 5/29/2003 5:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 33517    Maybe not all men mow lawns wrong...but, mine does...I really don't like having parts of my lawn longer than other parts...I want it all to be the same...LOL!!!...When Hubby did mow the lawn...He would time himself....to see how fast he could get it done...I could mow the lawn in 5 minutes also...but, I want it mowed...not messed up...**Big Canadian Hugs**
Date: 9/12/2004 7:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 35160    i used to when i was with my ex. but now my landlord does it. and even if my landlord didnt. i would not do it. i HATE mowing the lawn. thats some hard work. it just kills my back..
