What Do You Think This Could Mean? ~Little Brat~

Okay, I think this is a bit freaky. My step mother's father died years ago and before his death, he had given her a chime clock for her birthday. Well, the moment he passed away, the clock stopped working completely. My step mom took the clock to stores to get it fixed but no one could fix it. Well we have had that clock hanging in our livivng room at every house we've lived in and it has never worked. Anyway, we recently bought a really nice house. (We were renting before) This is the first time that my dad and my step mom have owned their own house because they could never afford it before because we have such a large family (6 kids). The other day my dad took the old clock out of the box it was in and put it up on the wall and the thing started ticking! It works completely... the chime and everything. Before nothing would work. Don't you think that's totally wierd? My dad and I came up with the conclusion that my step mom's dad must like our new house and he feels alive here and he knows that we are happy here. What do you think?

How it changed my life:

It didn't change my life. It just struck my curiosity and freaked me out a bit.

Date: 5/23/2003 10:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 55533    It happens, usually when the first owner of a clock passes away, the clock stops working, i read it in several books. It is one of those "strange facts of life".

Date: 5/23/2003 11:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 49150    It sounds like a good omen, your family should be very happy in the new home.
Date: 5/23/2003 3:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 48809    What does everyone think it means ? If spirit wants the clock to run, it will... if not, then it won't! I agree with those who think Grandpa is giving his approval of your new house!
Date: 5/23/2003 4:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 56971    yes he does like the new house,
thats why the clock works now
Date: 6/15/2003 5:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hello Little Brat At first, I was going to say that something just got "un-stuck" inside the clock and it started working. But, the fact that you had it worked on before, sorta rules that out. So for lack of a better explanation, I'll go along with the "blessing from your step-grandpa" theory. Taking the occurence as a good omen certainly can't hurt anything. Enjoy the new house. Thanks for sharing. Write on
