Well, mono can be contracted other ways than thru saliva. I had mono 2 summers ago...and I wasn't in physical contact with anyone that had it. I 1st noticed that I was tired, warn out, beat. I didn't have any energy and didn't feel like moving. Then, I started getting a sore throat ( it only hurt on one side though) That lasted a week or two then I went to the doctors. Yup, I had mono. Get it checked out if things get any worse. and good luck :0) |

I had mono about 2 years ago, and I'm not really sure how I got it. I am sure it wasn't from kissing anyone (mono is known as the "kissing disease". I started feeling really bad, almost like I was going to pass out. Then I noticed that the glands in my neck were very swollen. I had no idea what I had, but when I looked around online, I thought it could be mono. I went to the doctor, and sure enough it was. I'm sure everyone reacts differently, so you may want to go to the doc just to make sure. If you don't get enough rest if you have mono, you can injure your liver. |

they call mono the kissing disease... you get it by comming into contact with someone elses saliva who has it(kissing, sharing a cup/straw/popcan untensil that hasen't been cleaned properly) there are SOOOO many things that can cause you to be tired and have a sore throat... you don't want mono... |

MONO is the kissing disease lol. I've had it like three times. You feel really tired for about a month. If ya do have it don't do any physical activites. Because your spleen swells up a lil. Peace Out.. |
