I am so sorry for your loss. I would like to think though that your puppy is in Heaven with my Dad, keeping each other company. Hugs |

Thanks guys, I'm not looking into getting a new dog, at least not for now. So far we were looking for small dogs cause we need to finish fencing the backyard so we really didn't have the space for a big one. My mom is expecting some money so when she gets it we are going to finish fencing and then we'll get a big dog, probably a retriever. Funny thing, there was a retriever at the vet yesterday also named Lucky. |

I'm sorry for your loss. Dogs are so special to us. Don't give up, third time will be different. I lost two pups several years ago to Parvo. It's so hard...I now have three healthy, loving and playful dogs. They truly are our best friends... |

swwetheart, I am so sorry for your loss. I put my dog to sleep 20 years ago, an I STILL dream about him! He lived to the ripe old age of 14 years, and I adored him. Now, here is what I am thinking. Instead of a pedigree (papered) dog, go to the animal shelter. Hear me out! Pound puppies, are so greatful for adoption, they seem to "know" how close they came to The Other Side. They have full-bloods & mixed-dogs, of ALL sizes. A mixed-breed dog gets the best of both parents and is generally healthier & better natured than Full-bloods. I know, I have owed both. If you want a full blooded dog, have your Mom call the rescue of whatever breed you like. For example: greyhound rescure, cocker spanial rescue, the number(s) are in the book, or the Vet should hae them. Do not buy from a pet store. Their puppies are mass breed at puppy mills. Check the newspaper. There are a lot of private breeders around. But please, except my love at the loss of your baby. Just remember, the time they were with you, they knew love & happiness. ~Peace~ |

I'm so sorry to hear about that. This saddens me because I'm a big animal lover and it would of just killed me if I were in the same position. |

Thanks guys for your kind and beautiful words, they've helped a lot. At least I know he's not suffering anymore. This morning was kinda hard though, I was used to hearing him barking in the morning for me (sigh). |
