I make my way into my house with the light glaring in my eyes with a migraine pounding at my tempels; I guess this is the consequence of staying up all night and getting three hours of sleep. I didn't have TOO much to drink, as I am under-age, so my headache is the cause of much stress from the past week. I make my way up the stairs and I reik of the smell of campfire. I talk to my brother about how his night went, but my head is pounding and his voice only makes it worse. I make my way to the medicine cabinent and clumsly grasp a bottle of extra strength tylenol, and shake out two tablets while moaning. I slowly trudge while carrying my feet heavily to the bathroom and stand before the shower and disrobe.
I open up the window and get a shaver from the cupboard and step into the shower. I wrap my fingers around the faucet and close the shower door. I lean back and let the almost boiling water droplets make their way via my body to the drain. I take a deep breath and begin to relax, rejoicing that the tylenol will cure my headache and ease my muslces momentarily. I run my fingers through my wet hair and run my hands over my arms and down my legs. I lean over and take a deep breath and pump rejuvinating shampoo and massage it into my scalp..not neglecting a single strand of my hair. I sigh and sit down. I am beat, but am appreciating the zesty smell the bar soap which I am running across my body. I can still smell the strong smell of campfire on my shoulders and don't neglect to lather that part up too. I take a few moments to shave my legs, during that time I had stopped the shower....with a new surge of energy entering my body I practically jump up from my sitting position and turn the shower back on. I close my eyes and let the soap exuent my hair and I again open them to see water beads all over my body... without a physical visual trace of soap ever being there. I turn the faucet off and shake my head gently as I still have a headache. Now cool water which used to be hot, makes its way into the crevice of my mouth. My body craves pure water and I ingest it. The taste is almost totally different then normally since my senses are heightened. I reach towards the sink's counter and grab a warm, soft, baby-like towel and dry off......
How it changed my life:Lol.. I never really get to appreciate my showers or any other senses that lots of people take for granted. MY senses are heightened today and my approach about the world is different opposed to my basic life. That was just a shower, and think of all the stuff OTHER than that has to offer. I feel very creative today and wanted to write a story because I never write stories. It was probably totally irrelevant and extremely insignificant but hey lol...*shrugs* its a start. YOU shoudl think of something similar to this. Its great when you can appreciate the little things in life that we often take for granted.
