IF I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD GO AND BUY ME A 2003 MITSIBUSHI ECLIPSE AND PUT A TON OF CRAP ON IT. lIKE A VEIL-SIDE RX-8 WING TO GO ON THE BACK. NITROUS OXIDE TO GIVE SOME BOOST. I'D PAINT IT GREEN WITH A METALIC BLACK HOOD, BLUE AND WHITE STRIPES. I'D PAINT MI ON THE HOOD. GET SOE DECALS.INTER COOLERS. I'D JUST LOVE TO HVE ONE LIKE THAT.

Date: 5/18/2003 9:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 21867    Okay...someone has seen a little bit too much Fast and the Furious. Hehehe...just kidding. We don't get the Mitsubishi Eclipse here in NZ...but we do get the Lancer Evolutions, which pack the same 4g63 2lt turboed motor (though in a small 4WD Sedan body). Actually, thats the motor I'm planning on slinging into my Galant GTi soon. Veil-Side makes some nice kits for the Eclipse, as does BoMex and Jap 'tuning-house' 5-Zigen. Its amazing the kinda power you can extract from the 4g63...here in NZ there are a number of EVOs running 9s over the standing quarter...one guy from my Mitsubishi Motor Club has a dragracing EVO that is punching out over 650bhp AT ALL FOUR WHEELS...eeeeek...runs a mid 9sec standing quarter and is currently the fastest EVO in Australasia. 800hp at the flywheel of a 4g63 is not that much of a problem. Big problem is finding a gearbox able to put that kinda grunt to the ground without spitting itself all over the track...this guy having just lunched 3 gearboxes in about as many weeks. Heres the url for the guy, Andre Simon...who owns and operates one of the meanest Performance Mitsubishi Tuning Garages around here, 'SpeedTech'...which has produced so far the fastest Galant VR4 in Australasia, as well as the fastest Lancer GSR in Australasia...and one crazy 11sec Toyota Corolla: http://www.speedtechnz.com/prodocile.php
Date: 5/18/2003 9:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 21867    ...oh...heres more urls for ya...this one if to my PictureTrail Online photo folder of the Speedtech cars...'DOCILE' the blue 9sec Lancer EVO, 'NFORCA' the green 11sec Lancer GSR, 'EVOPWR' the blue high 11sec Galant VR4, 'BADCAR', one absolutely insane Lancer Coupe sporting a 1.8lt Supercharged MiVec stomping out something like 200kws at the wheels. http://www.picturetrail.com/gid2067546
