What do you do when you greet someone you know? ~~~~ *(Aromatics)*

When you greet someone you know really well, do you go for the full-blown kiss on the cheek or do you pretend to kiss the cheek and kiss air instead. I am a cheek kisser myself and if someone pretends to kiss my cheek I say, “has my cheek got the plague or do you think you will catch lip rot.” They usually go red and then come the apology.

I greatly appreciate your taking the time to read and reply to my post. May love, peace and happiness be with you through out the year.

Thank you.

Date: 5/19/2003 7:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 52746    It depends on who I'm greeting. If I'm meeting someone for the first time, I'll say Hello and smile. But at the moment, I've noticed online I seem to repel people for some reason. Fortunately I'm not snubbed in real life otherwise I would have something to be really upset about!
Date: 5/19/2003 7:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I only kiss family on the cheek /mouth,everyone else either gets my hand or a small hug in greeting
Date: 5/19/2003 10:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 3538    Well, usually when I see my future mother in law, we give each other a kiss on the cheek. When I meet my fiancee's family from Mexico, like his aunts and cousins, it is traditional to kiss that person on the cheek. At first, I was uncomfortable with it, but I got used to it and now I feel much more comfortable with it. Usually, though, if it's people I know here in San Antonio, it's a hug.
Date: 5/19/2003 10:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    I hug a lot, even my patients. I've never felt that anyone is offended and I always hug and kiss family and friends. I tell my family I love them too, every day.
Date: 5/19/2003 10:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53558    Thank you all for your most welcomed comments. I have enjoyed reading them all. Great big hugs. Take care all.
Date: 11/9/2003 7:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 25756    Normally I wave to them, but I also give hugs to my good friends or family or people I haven't seen in a long time. :-D
