Colouring Therapy .........*LadyOfTheLake*..........

Who here finds colouring relaxing? I sure do. Whenever I'm bored, I will go around the house, pick up some crayons and print off colouring pages. I love to do this, because it calms me down, and its fun!

I think there should be a therapy called the "Colouring Therapy". Its very calming, and people with anger problems or simply 'problems' in general should try to do this. They can colour happy pictures, and have "happy" thoughts. It kind of brings out the kid in you, don't you think?

I don't know, I just thought of this on the spot, and thought I might share it with you. Hurray to colouring!

Date: 5/18/2003 9:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 25556    Several years ago i went to an anger management class and we had to fold a large piece of construction paper into 6 squares and draw 6 cartoon scenes on how to solve one of our conflicts. Now i dont think that it had anything to do with the way you solved the conflict but the coloring sure did make me happy I dont exactly color anymore but I paint and do fantasy drawing so i guess that qualifies. I do my best work when ive had a hard, frustrating day and by the time im done painting im not angry anymore.
Date: 5/18/2003 9:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 53013    I love to color, it's the best way to relax! When my sister's Mother-In-Love left her husband and was staying at a shelter they told her that her and the kids should try to set aside a hour a night to color. It's a great way to get connected with the little guys. ~gentlehugs~
