Being a mom I sometimes get so caught up in it that, I forget to pay tribute to my mom. I try to love her and appreciate her every day of the year. I never see her or talk to her on the phone without telling her how much I love her.
When I was growing up, I did not get along with my mother. When I moved out we got closer, then when I had my daughter we got closer yet. And then when my daddy died we got as close as we could get. I have so much respect for her now. There are things that I could only come to appreciate with age.
When I say we didn't get along, we really didn't get along. So to anyone who doesn't feel so close to their mom this mothers day.... sometimes it does come.
