WHAT HAPPENS WHEN KIDS RENT R-RATED MOVIES:

Employees at a video store in Annapolis, Md., had to hold back laughter when an intruder brandished a gun and announced a holdup. The 70-pound, 4-foot-tall bandit was 7 years old, and was still there when police arrived. Still unsure whether the gun was real, an officer wrestled it away without hurting the lad. The boy admitted he was trying to rob the store, and was charged with attempted robbery. He was still at the store when police arrived because he had forgotten to demand any money. "He didn't quite have it down pat," the store's manager said. (Baltimore Sun) ...He'll get it right next time -- and you can be pretty sure there will be a next time.

Date: 5/12/2003 10:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 45876    LOL that is stupid for a boy to think about robbing a store
Date: 5/12/2003 12:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 62023    I wonder if he thought this up on his own or if someone put him up to it. Sounds like some older kids may be behind it somehow. Sorry, but I don't think this is a bit cute or funny. Too many little ones are learning criminal behavior from older siblings - it has to stop. Very sad.
Date: 5/12/2003 12:52:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 58334    I agree. These days kids are getting into things they shouldn't be. It is sad.

Date: 5/12/2003 3:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 31154    where were his parents and was it a real gun?
