i am bookmarking this story. i have such a problem with worrying. my mother often reminds me that there is no reason to worry, God takes care of everything. but sometimes i can't help it. i worry about my health alot. like a hypochondriac (sp) but it does help me to remember that God takes care of everything. therefore i am bookmarking this to reming me whenever i need it. thanks so much for posting this |

Yeah, but what I want to know is, while God was busy creating the universe did he order out or brown bag his lunch? --Arion |

We all worry to some extent, but sometimes when we worry overmuch, we can actually create for ourselves conditions that we might otherwise have avoided ! Thoughts are things... a form of energy and when we dwell on them....we may draw these things to ourselves like a magnet. |

I agree with Posey that thoughts are things. I've learned that the hard way. We tend to think of thoughts as abstract, insubstantial, esoteric things, but we tend to manifest in our lives what we hold in our thoughts. Worry is no more or less than loss of faith in God. You could almost say that worry is a way of turning away from God--something I've had a lot of experience with, unfortunately. Worry creates stress (the bad kind), and stress can actually hurt us physically. Great post! |

Canoe, thank you ! You gave a much better description of this process than I did! I believe that because we cannot see this taking place in our lives until it has at last manifested itself .. that we tend not to believe in it's existence! |
