worrying***** Please Read. It's good.

I'm sure that we all worry. That it is human nature to worry. The Lord gives us some comfort though. I have a favorite, (among many others) verse. It's this one. Matthew 6:31-32: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things.

I think it's very comforting to know that God knows what we need. That he will provide all that we need. I know that He helps those that help themselves. The old "a door is closed, a window is opened." I understand that. In fact, I've had many doors closed, but I know that it was God that provided another way out for me. I know that if it wasn't for Him, I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. I hope that this brings to mind some blessings that He has given to you. Thanks for reading.

Date: 5/8/2003 8:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    i am bookmarking this story. i have such a problem with worrying. my mother often reminds me that there is no reason to worry, God takes care of everything. but sometimes i can't help it. i worry about my health alot. like a hypochondriac (sp) but it does help me to remember that God takes care of everything. therefore i am bookmarking this to reming me whenever i need it. thanks so much for posting this

Date: 5/8/2003 8:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 52489    Yeah, but what I want to know is, while God was busy creating the universe did he order out or brown bag his lunch? --Arion

Date: 5/12/2003 5:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 48809    We all worry to some extent, but sometimes when we worry overmuch, we can actually create for ourselves conditions that we might otherwise have avoided ! Thoughts are things... a form of energy and when we dwell on them....we may draw these things to ourselves like a magnet.
Date: 5/12/2003 4:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 28989    I agree with Posey that thoughts are things. I've learned that the hard way. We tend to think of thoughts as abstract, insubstantial, esoteric things, but we tend to manifest in our lives what we hold in our thoughts. Worry is no more or less than loss of faith in God. You could almost say that worry is a way of turning away from God--something I've had a lot of experience with, unfortunately. Worry creates stress (the bad kind), and stress can actually hurt us physically. Great post!
Date: 5/12/2003 6:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 11097    Great post! God sees our true hearts and knows what we need best...and I am so grateful for the many blessings He has provided me with! God Bless <3
Date: 5/12/2003 7:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 48809    Canoe, thank you ! You gave a much better description of this process than I did! I believe that because we cannot see this taking place in our lives until it has at last manifested itself .. that we tend not to believe in it's existence!
