Organisms can really be revived?

I remember hearing from my teacher that scientists have found or have almost found a way to revive dinosaurs from its DNA. Is this true? If dinosaurs can be brought back to life, then can people also be lifted out of death? Also, you know how turtles can live to be many years old? Have scientists found out why they can live so long? If so, can they possibly give people that choice? Do you think its a good idea to live for that long, and to get resurrected again? I think that living that long would be a huge burden. After death, you should just let the person sleep peacefully without distraction. My religion says that there's a life after death, so I have to believe in it. However, I just think that there's a very small chance of life after death. Here is my answer: 70% that there is no life after death, and 30% that there is. These are just some of my views on life and resurrection. I would just like to hear what you think.

How it changed my life:

It hasn't...yet.

Now to live longer... Hey I am all for that. I would like to be able to live to be 125 but have my good health at that age as well.
Date: 5/9/2003 4:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 60052    Longevity runs in my family. My great grandmother lived to be 113 years old. She was spry and played freeze tag with my brother and I the day before she died. My grandfather is currently 98 years old, and in very good condition health-wise, we expect him to live almost as long as his mother. Because of my family history, I look forward to living a very long life as well. There are draw backs to it, though, my grandfather says all of his friends that were close to his age are all dead. It's got to be hard to watch all your friends die before you. However, resurrecting the dead? I agree with SmoknJoe, even if it were possible, I can't see the people would be the same. I don't think they would remember who they were, in essence a "different soul". -ToDieFor-
Date: 5/9/2003 7:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    I think that with DNA it is possible to clone animals and humans, not only do I think that it is possible, but I also believe that it has been happening for many years now, of course not known to the public. I also believe that the consequences of tampering with nature in this sense will prove to be quite disasterous.
Date: 5/9/2003 3:40:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61920    Yeah, I agree with you all of you. Death should not be tampered with- it's in the cycle of life. Living longer might be a good thing, but immortality would be a huge burden. Thanks for all your comments!
Date: 8/14/2003 8:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 48250    I Also Agree with everyone here.. I think Cloning or Extracting DNA In an Advanced Technological Manner., is Tampering with Nature & Interefering with God Himself., what He has Created... Besides., even if we wished to resurrect the loved one we've lost..., they would not be the same person as we knew them..... Great post, Epox....*Hugs*...T/C......
