The sound of zipper being slid opened on their canvas tent in the middle of the night was truamatically horrifying to both Grace and Nancy. There statred at each other in the darkness, unable to see in the darkness that each pair of eyes was wide opened. Swiftly, the entry to the tent was completely unzipped and lay in a fold on the ground. Resembling the lumber jack man himself, the sizable figure stood before the terrified women, not uttering a sound. If they could have seen his sinister grin they may have been able to convince themselves he was standing before them on a friendly mission. Time seemed to stop as Nancy and Grace mustered up their screams of terror. The stranger was not concerned that anyone would hear their screams. He knew the nearest camper was a long ways from this particular campsite. Just one man-made camp spot at the end of a dirt road. Quickly the man trapped Grace's petite body with his hugeness, trapping her in her tangled sleeping bag. She quit screaming, numb with fright at the flashing glitter of stainless steel. It was real. Very real! Struggling furiously under the heavyness of her assailents body as he conquered her wrists, then ankles with nylon clothsline, Grace felt the same way. Like the whole scene was a horror film. That she could raise from her seat anytime to trot down to the snackbar and buy popcorn and soda. What was this mans plan Grace thought as he gagged her mouth with a rag. She told herself that no matter what his motives were, tying her up was a good sign that he did not attend to kill her. She knew Nancy had escaped, seeing her body tumble out of the tent. She could only pray silently that somehow Nancy would bring help back to camp. Finally slowing her pace to a trot, Nancy reached the paved road. She was torn between guilt at leaving her best friend in the tent with a madman, while realising her escape was the only chance they had of surviving this nightmare situation...
