the entire community surroundng the ancient Hindu Cremation Grounds, on the banks of the Gompti river,is haunted. Today, the Indian government has restricted the traditional crematoria grounds to a quarter of a mile square kilometer area; however, they have not been able t control the many wandering spirits that show up in the neighboring homes. Residents report of ghosts taking up residence inthe houses surrounding the grounds are numerous. Most of the homes are over 100 years old, although a few are really nothing more than flimsy huts that are destroyed by the storms of each monsoon season. The quality of the homes seems to make little difference to the otherwoooooooordly interlopers, who sseem attacted by large and noisy families.
