I don't think it's fair to say that only middle eastern looking people are terrorist, what about the uni-bomber and John Walker there are quite a few americans under investegation of helping the Bin Ladin. |

I don't particularly like political correctness, but wow!! Let's see here...you think we should segregate people of middle eastern descent from those of western descent because a few people of middle eastern descent commited acts of terrorism. With that line of thinking let's keep all middle aged white males away from all children since the average child molester is a middle aged white male....or better yet, lets segregate them from society altogether because the average serial killer is also a white male. Oh, and while we are at it, we should take all white teenage boys out of public school and put them in a school by themselves being as most school shootings that we have heard about have been commited by teenaged white males. Do I need to keep going or have you caught on to the hypocrisy of your arguement yet? |

Isnt this like going back in time to the days of segregation? That is ridiculous, I say search them ALL no matter what color or gender, if you are going to do it do it right! |

the funny thing is everyone could be a terrorist even the 6 foot german with blonde hair and blue eyes or the local baptist minister seems how the definition of terrorist is "the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion" |

Some would think common sense TC. I'm the blonde, caucasian lady who ALWAYS gets to dump her purse and I've learned to wear sandals. I fly mainly from Detroit, MI to Orlando, Fl a few times yearly and it hasn't failed to happen yet. My baggage is full of clothes, WHICH Southwest always loses on even a non-stop. I say, get "up there" and "get comfy and cozy" and not worry about being PC, I pre-book my flights, I can be checked out and given today's technology, it is pretty much a common sense thing. Last minute bookings should definitely be scutinized. Most people are an open book. We have credit history, which provides an enormous amount of info. I'm very close with two people who are both Doctors, travel frequently, and are from India. Common sense says they look Middle Eastern, a simple check will tell someone they have practiced in the US over 20 years. But they still are detained. Sure, it could be anyone, but credit history and personal info can now be checked in an instant. How hard is that? If someone IS NOT a citizen of the US and has no documentation, shouldn't we be looking? PC or not. |

Hi, Shadow Ghost. I'm probably like you...except that I haven't flown in 15 years. I simply just look weird, and suspicious...& I always think that people are looking at me funny....and...um...maybe they are. |
