*This story takes place in the future.
People all over were amazed at what happened on Friday, September 17, 2010. There was a news story about a discovery made in The Dead Sea. Some oceanographers went down into the sea, and were searching for new specimens of creatures when they unearthed a cave very deep in the water. When they went into the underwater cave, they found out that it was very huge, and could fit an enormous creature. They went back the next day with a couple more explorers, and searched inside the cave. No fish, crabs, etc. were found, but there was a weird sort of rock formation that blocked the crew from going in deeper. When they tried using dynamite, to their suprise, the formation didn't break; it just looked exactly the way it was before the explosion. By researching more closely, the crew found out that the rock was a type of an ancient rock, called "pomano"- this type of rock was almost indestructible; it would take a massive explosion to destroy it. However, they thought that since they didn't find anything special, they just left it alone.
People just forgot about it eventually, until a month later, an event occurred that would change everyone's lives forever. The earth would be forever changed. No one thought that this kind of thing was possible, but were shocked and frightened when it happened.
