The rememberance of death~silversnake~

And as I hear the word today
Another high schooler I knew died
I wasn't even sure what to say
Wished it was a lie

I look back to a past accident of someone we once knew
And wonder what it would be like now
If he never died but had time to lived and grew
What would happen if death wasn't so young somehow

I remember so many things like yesterday
Walking through the halls each day
Elementary school, middle school, sports that once would play
A past that you can speak of a future no more to say

Six deaths one school one town
Car accidnets that took each life of a teen
A whole place torn apart and people breaking down
Finally crying wondering what this life really does mean

I remember it like yesterday
Like it happened all again
But this is another person and I am at college today
Yet I still remember seeing something like that those times that had what if and when

So here I sit another name added to everyone's list
Another thing think about as we keep moving on
Another person we all will see someday in the mist
When someday we all are gone

**This poem was writing after hearing about a guy I once knew form high school, Dominac died in a car accident. it struck back memories of many past accidents that have brought to 6 other deaths in the past 6 years of people i have known. Thanks for reading.** peace and love Regina
