Date: 4/30/2003 7:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    Sorry to hear this....I know how your friend feels....I had to put my cat down two months ago....All I wanted to do was bawl...course everyone told me 'time will ease the pain, it'll get better I promise'....to be truthful I didn't even want to hear it....Nor did I believe them. I still have my moments of tears....But I got a kitten about a month ago and she has really been like thearpy for me....I do feel bad at times that I got a new kitten because sometimes I wonder if I was doing it to 'replace' shadow....then i realized there will NEVER be a replacement for him...and i love my kitten dearly.....I'm sorry for your friends loss....I can't tell you what to say to her or anything....From my own experience...I would have loved it for someone to say 'I'm sorry, I'm here if you want to talk...' I didn't want to hear any of the 'you did the right thing' crap...that just seemed to hurt more....even if it was the truth..
Date: 4/30/2003 7:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 15400    I know how your friend feels. When I was about 4 we had to put my dog to sleep. Then when I was about 9 we had to put my little sisters cat to sleep. Loosing a pet can be extermely(sp) hard, because they become part of your family. I'm truely sorry for your friends and her loose of her cat. =(

Date: 4/30/2003 9:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    I've had cats that died from feline Lukemia. They get so sick in the end, it's really horrible. I hope your friend will be okay.
