Gettysburg: Warfields of Death

I think I have proof that Gettysburg and its battefields are haunted...

Since we all had vacation my parents and I went to Gettysburg, PA, the infamous site of the most bloody and important battle of all time. The story begins on our second day visiting. For a laugh, and because i am extremely interested in the supernatural (and to scare my mom) we went on a ghost walk thru most of the interesting sites in town. I thought, what the heck, I'll take some pics, for fun. The tour guide, dressed in period clothing, explained to us about certain historical and famously haunted sites. We stopped in front of a currently used middle school, and she sighed. "This was used as a Civil War hospital. Sometimes, they didn't have enough room for body parts after amputation so they just threw the limbs out of the window. A nurse here wrote in her diary that it got so bad she could walk across the parts to the large house across the street and not even tread on the cobblestones with her feet." I raised my eyebrows, it sounded quite grousome. I nudged my mom and asked her for the camera. About 20 feet away, I took a picture of the side of the school. I didn't see anything, but it was interesting. A week later we got the photos back. There is an eerie white figure in the corner (I'm looking at it right now) shaped like a half a woman with a shawl to her waist and a dress. I remember that, when I studied Clara Barton for school, that's how the Civil War nurses used to dress. But that was not all- we were on the battlefield alone late one night when I heard voices or young men conversing. Needless to say, my mom freaked out when I told her and we left immediately. Interesting thing was the next day I saw a shirt that said "Got ghosts? Gettysburg does." I bought it. Because now I know it does have ghosts.

How it changed my life:

Not much, but it was my first ghost picture, and it was pretty cool. PS- I'm going to put the pic on my site, www.geocities.com/ghostiegal45/index.html soon, I'll keep ya posted.
