I didn't realize that Hitler and Braun were married for such a short period of time. Didn't they die the same year or was it 1946? |

Frank, They were married less that 1 day.......According to Hitler's entourage, on April 29th 1945, Adolf Hitler married his longtime girlfriend Eva Braun in his underground bunker in Berlin. The wedding took place in the early morning hours, approximately between 1:00am and 3:00am. The two were married by municipal councilor Walter Wagner, with Josef Goebbels and Martin Bormann acting as witnesses. At 4:00am, Hitler dictated his Last Will and Testament, which consisted of two documents: a Personal Will and a Political Will. Adolf Hitler and his new wife gave their final farewells to the loyal followers that decided to remain in the underground bunker until the end. Adolf and Eva Braun Hitler entered the Fuehrer's quarters and a few moments later a gunshot was heard. After a short interval, Josef Goebbels, Martin Bormann, and a few followers entered Hitler's quarters and found his body slumped on the sofa, blood dripping from the head and face. Eva's body was lying next to Hitler's; there was no blood on her, she had taken poison. The time was 3:30pm on Monday, April 30th 1945. Hitler's corpse, clad in his field-gray jacket, black trousers and black shoes was wrapped in a blanket which covered his bloody face and head. Since Eva's corpse had no blood, no blanket was used; she was clad in a simple dark-colored dress. The corpses were taken to the Chancellery garden, place in a shellhole and set ablaze. |

Once again, thank you Ms. Priss for the post. Did you feel any of the earthquake that hit this morning? I felt a small tremor here and heard a loud noise, but it was over before I knew it. Love, |

Was just wondering if you did feel any of it. I didn't think you would have since we barely did. Yes, they are rare over here....I didn't even know what was going on. I live close to an army base and I thought they were just doing some kind of expirament over there. It wasn't until I heard the news that I found out it was an earthquake. Love, |

Angeleyez, you must live near Anniston. The only base I can think of in that area is Anniston army Depot. Priss wouldn't have felt it if she was right on top of it. When she goes to sleep, she is more among the dead, rather than the living. |
