Oops! You aren't really a winner....Flame-On

(4/29/03 - Battle Creek, Michigan) — Oops! You may not be a winner after all.

Thousands of people who entered the Kellogg's-American Airlines 25,000 Miles-a-Day Sweepstakes have received errant e-mail that they've won. There were only supposed to be 60 winners.

But a Kellogg's spokeswoman blames a computer glitch for sending out the erroneous messages. American spokeswoman Laura Mayo says several thousand people got the mistaken e-mail.

The 25,000 AAdvantage miles are enough for a round-trip coach fare anywhere in the continental US, Alaska and Canada.

Kellogg's says they're sending an apology and 500 bonus miles to the people who thought they were the big winners.
