Would it help if I said I was suffering too?

As much as I would have liked to see us work,
Hiding our relationship drove me berserk.

Even though none of it would be true.

Would it help if I said my words in remorse?
Maybe it wouldnt hurt as bad as a charley-horse.
I cant hide my life from the world anymore
But God I dont want to shut you out the door.

Even though its not true, it sure would be easy.
I loved you with all my heart, mind, and soul,
But now I have to put my love in a deep, deep hole.

Would it help if I said I will never love another person?
I can not lie to you unless I'm filled with bourbon.
Although I can not force you to understand,
Just dont loose yourself in a dreamland.
