What is USM reading? >Vampyre Gerbil<

Once again, USM. They say curiosity killed the cat. However, I'm a gerbil, not a cat, so I don't have to worry, do I? <--- Comma splicing, mmmmm.

So, here's the question tonight. What book are you currently reading? Or, if you finished reading a book, what book were you reading?

So, share with me, USM. What are/were you reading?

Over the weekend, I asked Lia if I could read her copy of "Bedtime Tales Your Parents Never Told You", by Frank Allen. Whoever this guy is, he is great. I wish I could talk to him, even if it was only over the internet on some random website. Anyway, I'm going off track. I asked Lia if I could read her copy of the book, but she didn't know where she had put it. So, I am currently reading nothing.

Date: 4/29/2003 3:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 61966    I have to read tons of books in my Honors English I class. Right now i'm reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, it takes place in the future and about how firemen now burn books instead of putting out fires. The houses are all fireproof and none is allowed to think for themselves, they are all surrounded by technolgy and "Fun things". It's illegal to have a book and if you think for yourself you are "antisocial". It's a really good book so far. Makes me wonder if something like that could really happen in the future. -BreathingBody

One Door Away from Heaven
by Dean R. Koontz

Usually I like his books but this one took a while for me to get into. If I hadn't known the author I would have returned it to the library after reading the first few chapters. Turns out to be pretty good once it gets going.

Date: 4/29/2003 4:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 54247    OK, Frankenstein - so happy you read and wrote Frank Allen's book - I loved the book also. What am I reading now? Ernie's War, The Best of Ernie Pyle's World War II Dispatches - bought the book years ago and guess I forgot to read it. He was my hero and I wanted to be a newspaper reporter. RAT
