The 16-year-old, and also a ghost, went into his house because the ghost was watching Big Joe and his behavior. Luckily, this ghost was a kind-hearted one, so he decided to help Big Joe.
Meanwhile, Big Joe just got done scaring the life out of some kids in the woods. As he was coming back, he thought that he sensed some kind of evil in his house. As soon as he came into the house, the ghost appeared right in front of Big Joe. As Joe stood in shock, the ghost introduced himself, and said that he was John Gato. He told Joe to stop scaring all those kids and to give them treats. Joe just laughed because he thought that this was all a joke. However, when he went to touch John, his hand went right through the ghost. He jumped back in terror. Realizing that this was the real deal, he suddenly apologized and said he would give treats to all the children every Halloween, and would always be nice to them. John thanked him, and disappeared.
From that day on, Big Joe always was nice to everyone he saw, and eventually, all of the people in the neighborhood came to like him.
