Hidden Riches Behind the Walls?

Ten years ago, my family and I were knocking on the walls of our home, to se If we could hear something behind the wall. It was dumb, but we were trying it because we had heard that the house supposedly possessed money behind its walls. Lots of money. It wasn't the first time my mom heard the myth. Ten years ealier then that, a few old neighbors had also told her the myth of our house and the many secrets that holds. Everyone in my family has brushed it off for the past 20 years, but I think there really is something...so I am determined to find out.

The previous owners of the house were two old women and a young man. The two women were sisters, and the young man was one of their sons. This family was pretty rich, perhaps because the two lady's pulled some strings here and there. They were very much into black magic(which may also explain many mysterious events), but that's not the point of the story. The point is that it is rumored that they, find out the young man had died, buried all the money they owned in the house, before dying a mysterious death themselves. Between the time the previous owners died, and my parents moved in, there have been several reports of break-ins, where people entered the house and dug holes in the walls. Maybe that explains why the my house's windows all have bars on them...even though its a fire hazard.

I've told many stories about the hauntings that have occured here in my house on USM, but I have ceased to tell more because lately, its been pretty peaceful. Strangely peaceful in fact. The only interesting thing so far is that a visitor who is staying with us right now, is a medium who has begun to tell us what is going on with the house. A friend of my mother, who is also a medium, he has never been wrong in his accounts...so that it even more interesting to listen to him(at least i think so).

After spending a night here(he didn't know about anything that goes on here),he simply told us that if we were meant to find the coins, we would find them. Right out of the blue at the breakfast table, he starts to ramble on and on about how all of the hauntings are linked to those coins. He can't fully explain exactly how yet, but that many things we own are links to the money as well. The french furniture, the old glass tables, and an antique mirror that we received along with the house, are the biggest links of all...because they hold a family secret. He described them as "mysterious" objects that hold a lot of information, but that we will only discover everything in due time. That is, if we are meant to discover it.

We've never REALLY tried to look for the money, so I guess I'll be the first one.

How it changed my life:

I hope it does

Date: 4/25/2003 3:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 28946    Cool! And you haven't looked? I would and I'm a scardy cat about spirits. Try to peek at the mirror like Joe suggests, just in case, and perhaps see if any of the floor boards are loose, to see if anything is under them.
Date: 4/25/2003 3:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 57355    Have you notice any odd cracking or tapping sound on certain walls,I've heard that there are hiiden secrets where the sounds come from.(this is said about in OLD houses.).I would try to listen to those sound at night,if the sound only come from a certain area, check if the walls are hollow or use a metal detector. -Quetz.

Date: 4/26/2003 12:50:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 58809    Yeah, well the "butt-jerk" found a stash of old Mexican coins, in my grandmothers house a year ago. I was there to see the coins...and they were real pretty. But when all of us went out to eat and came back, the coins(which he discovered buried beneath some loose tile) were gone.

Date: 4/28/2003 7:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 5886    A house several blocks from mine was very old, broken down, and inhabited by a very poor family until they were evicted. The city decided to tear the house down. When they took the wrecking ball to it, a shower of coins flowed out of the walls as the building collapsed. There were tens of thousands of dollars worth in mercury dimes and other silver coins that had been stashed away inside the walls by the very first owner. It had been rumored for years before it was torn down that coins were hidden there, but it was the construction workers who found it, and split it up between themselves. Even in my own house, when my mother and grandmother moved in a long time ago, when they arrived there were 2 of the previous owners knocking on walls inexplicibly before they left. A few years later, my grandfather discovered 2 wallets stuffed with silver certificates hidden in the house, apparently what the other owners were searching for. We ended up with an in-ground pool. lol, I wonder what you'll get if you find the money... but remember this: DON'T TELL ANYONE YOU FOUND IT at least until after you've spent it. If you've already had break-in attempts, once the treasure is located there will be more and they'll find some. Now, if you were to hide money inside a wall, which wall would you choose?
Date: 4/28/2003 7:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 57355    I've heard bathroom walls are the most unlikly spot for treasure hunters would look,If I were you I would tap on the bathroom walls for a while to see if they thought of hidding them in there. And search the surounding property,if you own a couple acres of land,Look for old trees and use a metal detector where the roots would be.Please becareful with the trees roots when digging. -Quetz.
