Bonehead award one, a "too dumb to be a criminal" bonehead award, goes to a Paramount, California woman who, upon arriving at a store to pick up clothes left on layaway, put them on and then ran out from the store to avoid paying for them, according to police who came and got her lay-away slip with her address and phone number on it.

Bonehead award two goes to a Wichita, Kansas, restaurant manager (gender not specified) who strip searched an underage waitress, looking for stolen goods, when someone, claiming to be a police officer, called the restaurant demanding that the manager perform the search and threatening the waitress with arrest if she didn't cooperate.
In an earlier case a manager pleaded guilty to sexual battery.

Some Days It Stinks To Be In Court
Bonehead award three goes to UK farmer Anthony Boundy who came to court to answer a charge of careless tractor driving caked in manure from head to toe. Said one onlooker, "Everything about him was brown. The stench was unbearable. I felt ill." Boundy said he came to court straight from tending his cows. The cows must have been happy when he left.
He was fined $30 and had to pay damages of $45.

Man Thinks Employers Food Causes Gas. Police Detain Him
Bonehead award four goes to a Sioux Falls, South Dakota man who was detained by police, fearing that he might be a terrorist, when he was seen driving a food delivery van while wearing a gas mask. The man says that he sometimes can't stand the smell of the food so he wears the gas mask to keep from smelling it.

Can't See How This Weight Loss Technique Works
A Swedish study from University Hospital in Huddinge, found that covering someone's eyes while they eat would result in their eating about ¼ less food than they would otherwise have. They recommend that you eat with your eyes closed if you want to lose weight.
