The "conspiracy" that we've never landed on the moon is a hoax..and has been debunked over and over again. |

Yes, it really happened. Simple as that. The moon landing being staged is basically a conspiracy theory. Might as well say blame aliens for the Kennedy Assasination. Lol. |

How do we know that there is a band of radiaton around the moon if we have never been? Thats the thing that got me. And I think the flag was "waving" because of the lack of gravity up there. I think we went and were there. |

Russia and America have sent probes to the moon, I guess they tested the radiation that way, the northern lights are meant to be the radiation hitting the magnetic field or something. |

I've often wondered if it was a hoax due to the fact that we've never touched down again. Not humans anyway maybe rovers and what not but why haven't ppl gone back??? If I'm wrong and we have gone back please excuse my mind and let me know when and who lol. |

I quess we will be left wondering. I can't say yes or no for a fact. I do know that during printing the pre-press dept has to use these cross to align the pics. The man on the moon pic are mostly in black & white and you would think that only one color was used, black. But actually it is a 2 color pic because it also has the color grey. To make grey a percentage screen film has to be burned into the plate as well. The crosses can be left when they are not taped off, human error. If mickey mouse was used for a marker instead of a cross, would anyone question its purpose? **yogi*** |

All of the different scenarios you've gathered have been argued away. There is a site, I think it is called badastronomy.com that does that. If that is not the specific address, try "bad astronomy" as a general search, and you will find the site quickly. Even if you don't believe the entire list has been put to rest and still have a few doubts about a few, someone I know suggested that yes, we went, but a lot of the footage was so crappy up there (250,000 miles away in space in 1969), that we did do some of them over back here after the mission to make the astronauts' actions clearer. Either way, I've always said that we had a lot of enemies back then that would have loved to disprove us, and if any of the list was so easily explained away (like the flag flapping, etc.), they would have been in 1969, and the idea we went to the moon would have been shot down back then. ~GypsyHawk~ |

Because there's no reason whatsoever to go back. They went believing they would discover things that mankind could benefit from. No reason to go back just to see more dust and rocks, that would be a waste of time and money. |

I have read of this also. The evidence is quite astonishing. There is indeed a radiation belt around the moon through which nothing can pass through and live. What surprises me is that astronomers and scientists at the time did not question this. If it is a conspiracy, it would have had to involve huge numbers of men and women. You can fool all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Keep an open mind always. Cheers... GA |

Anomaly, If they did really get to the moon, then of course there would be reason to go back. There would always be more to discover, more questions and hopefully they would be able to find answers to them so in order to find out more wouldn't you want to go back??? Thanks everyone for your insights on this, it is a tricky subject and it may be quite some time still since we really do find out if it was actually possible to get to the moon. I heard that in about two years Japan was hoping to send a shuttle there so until then..... |

About why we didn't go back; I saw a program that said that the Apollo missions, the only ones developed to send men to the moon, completed its planned flights after Apollo 18 or so, and the program was scrapped after that for lack of money. Another article I read simply said that NASA has figured out, with today's technologies, that sending human beings up to the moon is way too expensive compared to just sending small robots to pick up the samples, etc. It just would not be worth it. ~GypsyHawk~ |

The radiation belts around the Earth wouldn't kill everything passing thru. The astronauts were exposed to about 1 rem of radiation from passing thru. To give you an idea, on average, people on earth are exposed to 360 Millirem each year. While 1 rem is a big deal, it's about a 2 year and 8 month's worth dose. But it's not lethal, but definitely will lead to an earlier than normal death. That's the biggest misconception, the rest of the details about the supposive "hoax" have been answered over and over in many posts in this conspiracy section. |

I heard about this ,too. Seems like I recall someone mentioning this, especially about the American Flag waving when there isn't any gravity or wind, etc. there on the moon.., I also hear that 1 of the men whom worked for NASA.., was the very one giving out this Classified Information.. My Grand dad always said if God wanted man on the moon, He would have made a ladder, (LOL) I think there could be a very big possibility, that we didn't make it when the US said we did. Can't explain the space shuttles however.. T/C Best Wishes.. *Kentucky Bluebird* |
