I watched it, just out of pure curiousity, because I still love their music. And after seeing this, I actually see why this is such a hot topic. And I also saw, that Natalie Baines' heart. If people are too stubborn to forgive her, then I feel very sorry for them. I didnt agree with what she said at that concert, but man, how many of us have said something that they didnt think about first? It's a human flaw that everyone at one point or another has done. Seeing how sincere she was on the show, made my heart ache that they are going through so much with this. And I really think people's emotions got too involved with this, and a lot of over-reacting took place. Hopefully though, one day they will be forgiven for it. Maybe not, but my heart goes out to them. *hugs* <-- Just my honest opinion.. |

with comments like hers, how do you think OUR TROUPS feel? now of course our PRES, knows he is up against all sides here, though they THE TROUPS are out there fighting they are the real ones doing the dirty work, if you will, how do you think they feel if people back at home dont even believe in what they are fighting for and giving their lives for? I do not believe in what Natalie Maines spoke of. thats my opinion though i realize and i have stopped listening to the chicks, thats my AMERICAN born right... now this being said from a PROUD SPOKEN REPUBLICAN, GOD BLESS OUR TROUPS, GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES ROSEANN |

Sorry but I disagree with you. She is a major public peson and she should have apologized for her comment, that would have been the more mature thing to do. Some famous people and by now we know who some of them are, think they are GOD because they are rich and famous. Yes she was paid more attention to than you or I but she is famous and she should have been more tactful in speaking out. What shamed me about all these stars is the lack of respect for the soldiers fighting and losing their lives . We may not have approved of the war but it happened anyway and the least we could have done was supported our men and women over there. Does anyone care how they felt about all these remarks. These famous people have freedom of speech because for years soldiers have fought for all of us to keep it. I say keep he negative remarks to yourself and let the President do his job and the soldiers be respected for doing theirs. The families of these soldiers were hurt by many of the comments, it was not fair. I don't feel sorry for the rich and famous, I feel sorry for the people who lived and died in Saddam's regime and the soldiers who are desperately trying to make a difference for the better for all those who want to be liberated. I say if you hate living here, go live with Saddam. If you did that the word"freedom" would take on a whole new light to you. GOD BLESS YOU, GOD BLESS AMERICA. |

One more remark..she got busted by her fans for speaking out , if she had spoke out about Saddam like that she would have got her throat cut, her family murdered..does not look like she lost too much for her bad choice of words to me. Perhaps the soldiers families are throwing out her music too OR perhaps they will forgive her because they know what they have seen and they know ignorance when they see it. |
