Dont feel too bad. I bid $5.00 for a lot# in an auction. I only wanted the six light fixtures that was on it. They were worth about $100. each new at Lowe's. Turns out that the entire lot# consisted of about 70 lights, two computers, 2000ft of multistranded wire, a video projector, and seven oak tables/drawers from a chemistry lab. All this for five dollars. And to make matters worse when I forced the locks on the cabinets they were full of beakers, bunsen burners, a microscope (keeper), vials and slides. I have resold the lights for about $30 a fixture (4 ft florescuent types) the cabinets I have made into a benchtop in my shed. The microscope I have in my room with the slides. Fun to look at. The wire...... in cars, undergound, telephone lines etc..... So be careful of what you bid on at an auction. Oh yes btw I have only 11 lights left. Any Takers. My buildings are very well lit. As are my friends as well.  |
