you know those commercials that show new movies coming to theatres? how they're suppose to tell you what the movie's about? have you ever noticed that all they tell you is who's the big star that starrs in it? like whoever whoever won how many oscars and stuff, and how GOOD it is. but they don't tell you the summary of the story. and the last good movie since millenium was spiderman. I saw lots more, all a bunch of crap. serving sara? the most un-humorous comedy I'd ever seen my whole life. minority report? it stinks so bad, the socks underneath my bed suffered brain damage. triple X? people just went to see that stupid jock vin deesel, with no real plot, just stupid motorcycles and explosions. and how about WWE? I use to love wrestling. but now it's getting so boring..no sense of reality at all. the acting is getting SOOOOO poor, and the matches are getting so fake. too fake. It is fake, but at least make it look real for crying out loud. there's no more big stars anymore..all there is are losers like: john cena, randy orton, kane&RVD blaa blaa blaah..and kane? he's better when his character is "scary", and his mask is all black. I could ramble on and on...what happened to movies like: titanic, dragon (bruce lee story), wizard of oz, volcano, friday the 13th, american pie, jumanji, the jungle book..etc

Date: 4/23/2003 4:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    Kind of think about it, Spiderman was the last movie I saw at the movie theater. I usually just rent old movies, yeah some old movies are really lame. But the lamer the better, atleast that's what I enjoy. Just like the 1982 film Zapped starring Scott Baio from Charles in charge, he gets telekinetic powers and using them for pranks. It's a really stupid movie, but it's one of my favorites.
Date: 4/23/2003 4:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    haha, yup everything is so darn predictible...I get mad for wasting my money on rentals! But I tell you, go rent Spirited Away...it is way different and totally unpredictable at all times it's also animated I made a post on it last night in the review section
Date: 4/23/2003 4:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    I think we've been conditioned not to scare easy Rika...ALF, Spiderman was the last one we saw in the theaters too! LOL
Date: 4/23/2003 4:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    I totally know what you mean. I just went to see The Core last Thursday and I lmao through the whole movie...and dude, it's not a comedy! For instance they had one scene where they were traveling through the center of the earth and the pilot steps away from the cockpit or steering area and said that she put the ship on auto-pilot!! Omg!!! auto-pilot through the center of the earth...whatever!!
Date: 4/23/2003 5:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 53256    Yeah I agree with you movies now aren't all that great. Their either boring or stupid or both. lol. I think the movie industries seriously ran out of ideas and stories to make a movie. Thats why their making sequal to so many things. Also their turning to comic books for ideas (ex: spiderman, daredevil, x-men.) now mind you i don't mind the comic book movies cuz i've seen spiderman and i thought it was good, and i saw x-men too, and i can't wait to see x-men 2. Their also looking to books like Holes, and stephen king, the Dreamcatcher. I want to see the dreamcatcher I think it looks interesting. But yes then there are the other movies out there that just arn't great. Like head of state with chris rock. Now i think chris rock is alright, but that movie was just so dumb. Going to the movies are really not exciting like they used to be. Thats just my opinion.
Date: 4/23/2003 5:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 48689    Ok, for one, I personally liked Serving Sara and hated American Pie. Maid In Manhatten? Adorable. Two Weeks Notice? Even better. Ocean's Eleven? My favorite! I agree with you to some extent.
Date: 4/23/2003 5:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    they have all spun off crappy sequals... it's the hollywood cookie cutter... go to the movies that are not hugely mainstream try something like Amélie, or a beautiful mind, or my big fat greek wedding, or gangs of new york! there are some great movies out there it's just you have to look for them... and usually... it's not hte mainstream ones
Date: 4/23/2003 6:02:00 PM  ( Admin-FA )   What does WWE have to do with movies?? I liked Darkness Falls (A recent movie just been put on DVD/VHS)
Date: 4/23/2003 7:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 31255    I dunno Chicago, Antwone Fisher, and the hours were pretty darn good. Tears of the Sun and The pianist were not too bad either. All these movies came out this year and were all worth seeing. Maybe your taste in movies is changing, but your still going to see the same cheesy movies you would have seen in the past.
Date: 4/23/2003 8:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 11348    I've always thought the previews nowadays give a little too much of the move away... you see a preview and you know exactly what the movie is about and how it will end. I agree with you that some movies aren't very good, but this has been an occurence for as long as movies have been around. I think in general, movies are still pretty good. Think of the Ring... I thought that movie was the scariest movie I've ever seen in my life. The acting was so good, in my opinion, and the plot was so detailed. I thought the Core was awesome, I thought Anger Management was hilarious. I find enjoyment in all kinds of new movies. Anyway... just my opinion.
Date: 4/24/2003 1:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 13897    oh i don't think so... Lord of the Rings is AWESOME (and NOBODY will change my mind about that), the ring was reaaally good... great graphics and chilling story... Chicago (wow i had to see it more than once!!!).. these were all great movies i saw! maybe you're just not seein' the right movies. =) Though, i really do enjoy older classics, too.
