Kind of think about it, Spiderman was the last movie I saw at the movie theater. I usually just rent old movies, yeah some old movies are really lame. But the lamer the better, atleast that's what I enjoy. Just like the 1982 film Zapped starring Scott Baio from Charles in charge, he gets telekinetic powers and using them for pranks. It's a really stupid movie, but it's one of my favorites. |

I totally know what you mean. I just went to see The Core last Thursday and I lmao through the whole movie...and dude, it's not a comedy! For instance they had one scene where they were traveling through the center of the earth and the pilot steps away from the cockpit or steering area and said that she put the ship on auto-pilot!! Omg!!! auto-pilot through the center of the earth...whatever!! |

Yeah I agree with you movies now aren't all that great. Their either boring or stupid or both. lol. I think the movie industries seriously ran out of ideas and stories to make a movie. Thats why their making sequal to so many things. Also their turning to comic books for ideas (ex: spiderman, daredevil, x-men.) now mind you i don't mind the comic book movies cuz i've seen spiderman and i thought it was good, and i saw x-men too, and i can't wait to see x-men 2. Their also looking to books like Holes, and stephen king, the Dreamcatcher. I want to see the dreamcatcher I think it looks interesting. But yes then there are the other movies out there that just arn't great. Like head of state with chris rock. Now i think chris rock is alright, but that movie was just so dumb. Going to the movies are really not exciting like they used to be. Thats just my opinion. |

Ok, for one, I personally liked Serving Sara and hated American Pie. Maid In Manhatten? Adorable. Two Weeks Notice? Even better. Ocean's Eleven? My favorite! I agree with you to some extent. |

they have all spun off crappy sequals... it's the hollywood cookie cutter... go to the movies that are not hugely mainstream try something like Amélie, or a beautiful mind, or my big fat greek wedding, or gangs of new york! there are some great movies out there it's just you have to look for them... and usually... it's not hte mainstream ones |

I dunno Chicago, Antwone Fisher, and the hours were pretty darn good. Tears of the Sun and The pianist were not too bad either. All these movies came out this year and were all worth seeing. Maybe your taste in movies is changing, but your still going to see the same cheesy movies you would have seen in the past. |

I've always thought the previews nowadays give a little too much of the move away... you see a preview and you know exactly what the movie is about and how it will end. I agree with you that some movies aren't very good, but this has been an occurence for as long as movies have been around. I think in general, movies are still pretty good. Think of the Ring... I thought that movie was the scariest movie I've ever seen in my life. The acting was so good, in my opinion, and the plot was so detailed. I thought the Core was awesome, I thought Anger Management was hilarious. I find enjoyment in all kinds of new movies. Anyway... just my opinion. |
