It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know he's guilty. |

I agree with Anomaly. If not in order to evade the authorities, why else would a person change their physical appearance so drastically, possess a large amount of cash as well as someone else's identification and head to Mexico? Only a person who is trying to escape something would ever do such a thing. Besides, it's illegal to travel with that much cash. If nothing else, that's at least one crime that he's committed. Why would he take a risk like that? Because he preferred that to the possibility of being charged for murder. It doesn't take Ellery Queen to figure this one out. Who knows? He might get out of this. If he did, it wouldn't be the first time a murderer had been set free. Just look at O.J. Simpson. |

Hmmm...well i've been watching this case and sopposedly there is proof that they are not releasing to the public yet cuz their still investigating the case. I saw on the news that they investigated his house and car several times and they found some blood traces but their still investigating it. Also I saw a former FBI Profiler that was interviewed on the case. Peterson was fishing 5 miles from where the bodies were recovered right? Well the fbi profiler said he was fishing in the wrong boat and fishing for the wrong fish during the season, i mean yeah fishing in December? Hmm...I dunno. Plus his behaivor is strange. He tried selling his house that him and his wife owned, he traded in his wifes car for another one. Then I guess the FBI have been tracking him since the begging they just didn't want him to know that so thats why they told the media he wasn't a suspect even though they labels him as one. They tracked down his every move, his car was bugged, and his cell phone and house phone was tapped into, so they could listen in to his coversations. Plus he was arrested on a golf course in san diego. Okay does this sound like a man that is sad that his wife has been missing all these months? Plus he admitted to having an affair to his wife before she disappeared. It sounds to me that this Peterson man is trying really hard to start a fresh new life. His behavior is odd. And in my opinion I do think he is guilty, but then I could be wrong. I don't know. So I guess we'll all have to sit back and see how this case unfolds. Thats my imput. |

According to the new sources, Scott Peterson took out a 250,000 life insurance policy on his wife just before her disappearance. He was seeing another woman named Amber Frey. She said that he did not tell her he was married. Laci Peterson was found about two miles from where Scott Peterson took his brand new boat to go fishing which he had just purchased. Even his family wasn't aware that he had a boat. His hand was bleeding the same day his wife disappeared and he told the police that he cut his hand and bled inside his truck. Laci Peterson's body was discovered with the same type of tarp that her husband had in his boat. He also had broken cement pieces in his boat and Laci had been dismembered and had cement tied to her so that her body would not surface. There's just too much against him which cannot be ignored. |

I think it makes people feel powerful to lash out and hurt other people. It's unfortunate, but it's a very big part of life. |

For the police to be able to arrest a person, they have to have some form of evidence that points to this man. They can't give a lot to the public without feeling that it could hurt the case. For the police to be able to arrest him, they have to have substantial proof of reason for a motive. And although he hasn't been sent before a jury yet. I agree with the other posters, all the evidence points to him. His actions are that of someone trying to hide something. Why else would he hang around, thinking he was not a suspect, then as soon as the bodies were found, he was pack and leaving for Mexico. The rage is towards him because people believe he did it. They are mad because a woman and unborn baby was killed. It's sad. ( God Bless |

we don't need links to 9/11, only links to the ability to cause mass harm and the possible desire to. but that is another post. i haven't seen many venting 'rage' but i have seen many venting distress over the peterson case. and their are a couple of circumstantial 'proofs' which the public is aware of..the change in look and hair, the large amount of cash on him(large in mexico, anyways)..being so close to the border..tapes of him speaking of fleeing (now we know that his phones were tapped)..his refusal to let the police in on the first night without a warrant, his affair (motive).i could probably think of more but you get the picture. there is much circumstantial evidence already,,without knowing what the police know (ah yes, him checking on the tides in the place the body was dumped..the tarp, the missing cement molds..etc..) the list goes on. many times enough circumstantial evidence will bring a conviction - if we get much more circumstantial evidence it should be an open and shut case. |

I don't understand why Scott Peterson refuses to take a lie detector test. Usually a person who refuses to do so is afraid of what the results will be. That's one more reason why I believe he is guilty. |

Oh, R1, gimme a break. We know he's a cheater and a liar (Amber Frey) and from the evidence we have available to us, we're pretty darn sure he's a disgusting babykiller. I think if you've ever been cheated on or lied to, you've already got some rage for the guy, regardless of any of the infanticide. |

I don't know if he is guilty or innocent. I am not a police investigator, I haven't been on the front line, I have not seen all the evidence, so it is impossible for me to make a judgement one way or the other. I do know that the media has put a spin on the story to make him out to be the bad guy and people have happily followed their cue and leapt to the conclusion that he is because, frankly, the public loves melodramas, they just eat them up, and this is quite the melodrama for you-- you have a seemingly happy couple, the wife suddenly dissapears one Christmas eve, and then it comes to light that things aren't what they seem and the husband is hiding some dark secrets and the evidence begins to mount against him, and then her body is found in the bay-- this is movie of the week material. And then, of course, no one loves anything more than a shifty villian to reap their animosity on, and Mr. Peterson fits the bill perfectly. |

i beleive he's guilty for many of the reasons that have already been stated. no one would go through all the things that he did, if he didn't have something to hide. and about the evidance, many times the media isn't aloud to release evidance, until a jury has been picked. this is to ensure that the jury isn't biased and will give the person a fair trial. and on a side note, please, lets leave iraq out of this. -disgruntlaed angel- |

It seems that Mr Peterson is being tried by the media. This is a new phenomenon and is quite unhealthy. Whether he is innocent or guilty does not change the fact that the media treats him as guilty until proved innocent. Television determines the way we see the world. It is an interesting phenomena.
