For some reason, I wish i had been there to see that, ick... That happened to my grampas bunny, except the maggots turned into the flies and this huge bubble grew into a dome like thing, and we took it to the vet and he popped it, and id say about 4-5 flies flew out of the little cut, it was disgusting, but yeah, that part with the squeezing made me naseaus! lol |

Yes ! That FLYS OFF cream did wonders . The hole is the size of a pea now and it no longer irritates him . Now the flys are eating the tips of his ears ! Razzy aka |

you know, a good way to keep that from happening, is taking your dog to get groomed (bathed) Often... And another thing, why didnt you take him to the vet right off? I know there would be no way for me to "Take care of it, with Flys-off cream".. I would be taking my pet to the vet.. Sorry, it just ticks me off to see pets mistreated.. |

frankly the maggotsa are actually helping him by eating the dead rotten flesh. you need to get him to the vet quick. |

Poor dog. How did the wound ever get that bad to begin with? You should take him to the vet. I would have a heart attack if someting like that happened to my dogs. |

My dog is okay ! I take him a walk everyday and I bathe him every Sunday . I just recently clipped his nails . 8 days have passed without incident . He is fine . I give him vitamins . He is going to get his yearly shots soon . The vet will check it out on my next dogs visit . I take good care of my dogs . I got mad when i saw those grubby maggots . I pummeled them all into the ground . Razzy aka |

For one thing, why did your dog have a wound anyway? Second, there should have been a vet consulted at least because maggots/flies are full of disease. Third, vaseline, rubbed on the tips of the dogs ears every day will keep the flies off your poor dogs ears. Fourth, Advantage flea and tick medicine once a month, really works. Fifth, why isn't your dog an inside/outside dog? |

But i would have to say a really gross expierience for me is when i took my dog to work. I work at petsmart. and she took a huge crap on teh floor and there were a pile of tape worms crawling her dung. I actually threw up on the floor. I cleaned her mess up before anyone saw it. And i took her to the vet 10 minutes later. Peace Out.. |

That is pretty gross! I would have taken the dog to the vet right then and had them clean it out and check for infection as maggots are nasty. We use to have a husky and the flys loved his ears they would bleed..we used that flys off cream too and it worked pretty well. I have 6 dogs so I've cleaned up everything you could possibly imagine..poop, pee, blood, vomit, tapeworms *shivers*, and I have to say it ain't fun..lol I've also dealt with maggots..I have a ferret and sometimes flys get in the house and go toward her cage..so yeah I've cleaned up maggots and maggot eggs. Not to mention nasty moldy dishes. Ick. lol |
