I'm going to be in a musical (into the woods, by the broadway jr. company) and i was wondering if any of you preformers had any tips on before show tips. Like I know don't drink milk and drink water but what else? Any of you have any funny rituals *cough socks cough*? :D

Date: 4/20/2003 7:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    I've been told not to bite a lemon or a pickle before hand as it tightens up the chords, but then before UIL comps in high school, there would always be lemons to suck before hand, so I don't know...but definitely no milk, plenty of rest the night before Have fun!!

Date: 4/20/2003 7:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 49091    Stay calm. Don't fittle with your hands, hair etc. Say your lines over and over and over. If you miss a line, make up a MadLib and make it sound normal. Don't be like OMG I SAID THE WRONG LINE! Just go with the flow! Remeber when the correct time is to say your lines. But if you have a dancing part. Practice practice practice!! If you mess up do something funny adn make it look like you had a solo. If your holding a prop (ie-flower, hat, cane etc.) if you drop it. Don't go OMG! Pick it up gracefully, and add a few steps to the dance to make it look like you were suppose to do that. Drink lots and lots of water. It gets awfulyl hot. And remember, what ever you do, the aduience will love it. Have fun with it and remember, don't sweat it. good Luck! if you ever need to talk, my door is always open
