I just got done watching the 100 Years OF Bob Hope, and If the old saying is true laughter is the key to longetivity, then Bob Hope has proved that to be true. He has made millions and millions of people luagh in his 50+ years in the entertainment industry. Starring in Vaudeville, Brodway, and 59 motion pictures over his career. His best known movies are probaly his Road to movies like Morocco and others. He has appeared on I Love Lucy, and other shows. He is probaly also known for His USO tours that entertained the troops of WW2, Vietnam, and even the Gulf War when he was 90 years old. This guy is truly an amazing figure. And In 1995 at the age of 92 he played golf with Bill Clinton, George Bush, and Jimmy Ford. He has entertained more presidents(11) more than any other entertainer and started with Truman and ended with Bill Clinton. That is truly amazing. In May he will celebrate his 100th b-Day and hopefully he'll be around to see it. This man Is truly a legend and I believe the greatest entertainer ever. To bad hes old, I bet the troops over seas would of liked to see him perform. And too bad theres not any other stars like that today with such charisma. I mean there are people that do entertain the troops, but he did it with such pride and charsima. We need another Bob Hope to make us laugh in these turbulant times.

Date: 4/20/2003 7:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    We watched that show and I loved it. It was so great to see Bob when he was in better health. It was also great to see Johnny Carson, Jack Benny, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and so many others when they were young and relatively new in show business. As for the latter Presidents, I think you meant, Jack Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Sr. and Bill (I won't say it here) Clinton. Thanks for a great post!
Date: 4/20/2003 8:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 13119    I saw him in 1989 in Vancouver, BC Canada. He had given a show for all us troops and even though he was older than dirt even then, he was phenominal. I would pay big bucks to see that man, he was a gentleman and so quick witted.
