Date: 4/20/2003 6:12:00 PM From Authorid: 30786 Lots of people feel like this around the holidays. Be grateful that you have your kids with you! And your loved ones that have passed on, they are still with you and will watch over you, especially on the holidays. God Bless you |
Date: 4/20/2003 7:05:00 PM From Authorid: 60162 I know the feeling, I grew up in foster homes with no real parents and to watch all the kids get their presents and take advantage of their parents, it would make me wonder how they could take it all for granted. Holidays are sad for me too. I have my fiance and I make up my own rules now. He is my family now and I make the most of it. I recommend you do the same. You and your children should make up new traditions and fun events to do on holidays and start your own family holidays. |

Date: 4/21/2003 9:27:00 PM From Authorid: 28848 You're not alone. The only family I have is my two kids and my husband. Both of my parents are remarried to different people and I haven't spoken to them in years. I have one younger brother who is 19, I think, I see him about once a year..if I'm lucky. We all went our separate ways with our own lives. My family has never been close. At least you still have your kids and before long they will be having their own children and before you know it when holidays come, you'll have a whole house full...lol. Best wishes |
