in english, we're reading "FAHRENHEIT 451" we read a short story of his before "there will come soft rains" and sorry to say to the fans, but i don't like his writing. i think it's because it's all science fiction stuff and all of it seems way unreal. i'm not here to put bradbury down because i'm sure someone out there likes his writing. i was just wondering what people think of his stuff :)

Date: 4/8/2003 4:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 54570    I have read a dozen or more of his works and I must say as an avid Sci-Fi fan his works are impressive and thought provoking. He has helped in his writings a lot of the normal conviences you use now possible. Like Star Trek it provoked and made people think about what they could do and create to make life easier. But all in all I enjoy his writings.

Date: 4/8/2003 8:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    I LOVE Ray Bradbury! I am in LOVE with The Martian Chronicles. People kept dying, but hey, at least it was interesting. People in my english class are reading Fahrenheit 451; Our group is currently reading Catcher in the Rye. I just did a Ray Bradbury post about a month ago. Glad to see someone else knows who he is. I'm sorry you don't like him, however.
