Let me know what you think of this poem... "Back when we were young"

I started this in discussion then changed it to poetry being as I was initially looking for a song that went along these lines and I still am but I ended up blurting out a poem when I was typing and finished it tell me what you think and if you can think of any songs that talk about forgiving then let me know cuzz this guy wants back into my life and I want him back but I don't know how to get through to him he never understands because he wants to move me back to washington and there's nothing there for me so he feels I dont' want him to be a part of my life instead of trying to talk to him like I have been I need a song.. Also let me know what you think of the poem!


We used to be in love back when we were young...
We used to sit and talk,
For hours under the sun,
You'd look into my eyes,
And see we're ment to be,
You whispered in my ear,
You'd never leave me.

Then we went our seperate ways,
We both began to fly,
Going on two seperate Journey's,
Each living seperate lives.

Then I got the urge,
To find how you have been,
Think of the old times,
Back when we were kids,
All the silly things we did,
All the memories we shared,
All the times we said I love you,
Showing that we cared.

I called your mom and said Hello,
I asked how she had been,
I ask of you,
THen she quickly said,
He's moved out to Oregon,
He's living with a friend,
Here's his address,
So a letter you can send,
I'll give you the number,
Incase you want to call,
It was nice to hear from you,
Didn't expect the call.

Then I quickly called you up,
To see how you have been,
Though you weren't there to talk to me,
I talked to your machine instead,
I left a brief message,
And this is what it said,
"Hey, you'll never guess who this is,
It's a long lost friend,
We used to date in highschool,
Wondering how you've been,
Incase you still are wondering,
Just who this might be,
It's Andrea from Grayland,
Hopefully you remember me."

I left you my number,
So that you could phone,
I called you back again,
But still you were not home,
You quickly called me back that night,
And for hours we did talk,
You said that you might move here,
Though I thought it was just a thought,

Not long after you called me,
Looking for a place to stay,
For you were moving to Texas,
Which was right down my way,
My body filled with excitement,
My heart began to pound,
I never thought my one true love,
Would move into my town.

You were here for a while,
We spent time together too,
I missed laying in your arms,
All the hugs and kisses too.

Not long after 6 months you were here,
You came to me and told me,
You were moving there,
I didn't know just what to say,
Or how I should react,
I accept that you were leaving,
Though through my heart there was a crack,
I took you to the airport,
And said out last goodbyes..
I held my emotions in,
I didn't want to cry,

Many nights I lay alone,
Dreaming of your kiss,
That some day you'll come and resque me,
And kiss me on my lips,
All the things we spoke of,
Would some how come true,
I'd live happily ever after,
Forever in love with you.
