The rain was coming down again. The sun was setting. Fear gripped my heart for there you were, sitting across from me staring with that maniacal look on your face. I struggled to get up, but fell immediately back to the ground, overcome with dizziness. My head was bleeding and throbbing with all the fury of Aries. The tears came in a downpour. There was no getting away from you. This moment that I had been running from for so long had finally come to be.
My legs were numb and I knew that the cold had bitten them and I would never feel them again. I closed my eyes. You had caught me. I opened my eyes and you still sat silent. Looking much like myself, I smelled death on you. Your eyes were red-rimmed and your lungs were filled with fluid, for I could feel it when you were breathing. Grinning like a jackal you were as you coughed so hard I knew your ribs were cracking. You were sick with death and still you smiled.
Consciousness was hard to maintain. The blow to my head had been too severe. You began to speak, like in a dream, or a nightmare rather, I cannot remember much of the words that passed between us. I just remember how horrified I was. The past was alive again as it had never died in you. I covered my ears and screamed into the rain. Your back was to the sunset and flames surrounded you as you stood with that jeer on your face. I tried not to hear your words, but as always, you were in my head. I could hear you as I could hear my own thoughts. Nothing I could do would keep you out. Your words ripped through me as I screamed louder and louder, using the last amount of strength within me. Your sermon went on and on as I whimpered like a dying animal. You raised your finger like a king with his scepter. The wind blew your hair and clothing without mercy. But, the wind could not move you as you stood, a raving madman. My heart grew tense and sweat poured from my brow though the cold wind stung my face. The cold taking over my body only drove me closer to despair and misery. I kept fading in and out, but whether I was conscious or not you were always there. I could feel your body growing weaker inside. You struggled to your feet and with one final insult you made a sweeping bow and left.
