Wow, it sounds just like the house I lived in that was built in 1890. I wrote my first post about it on this website. Usually, women, children and pets are the first to notice these things. They target you when you're along. For some reason, men generally notice these things last...maybe they ignore them more. If you've asked it to leave and it, or they won't, they don't want to. The first problem is that you don't know exactly what you're dealing with, as in what type of entity it is. Do you feel threatened, watched or like your being harrassed in anyway?  |

Do you know anything about the house? What year it was built, the history of the land, who owned it last etc? You might be able to contact the realtor or person who owned it last and ask them about the history of the place. This could give you a better idea of what you are dealing with. I'm a ghost hunter, so this type of thing doesn't freak me out. If talking to the spirits hasn't helped, then there are other paths you can take without having to move. It kind of helps to know what you are dealing with. It could just be that these spirits want your attention. Acknowledge them, and tell them in a firm voice, that this is now your home, and they are not welcomed. Like I said there are a number of ways you can handle this. Find a book store or an occult store, they will have books that can help on this as well. :-)
If I can help any further let me know. Kind of hard to determine what you might be dealing with, without knowing everything.

This sounds like the house we used to rent that was in the country. The first night I sleep the night there by myself we never had anything moved in. I heard alot of noises when I was tring to sleep in the living room. So many that I went into the bedroom and closed the door. I felt like I was being watched. It was a creepy felling. Once in awhile we heard things that we couldnt explain. Id just try to find out what "they/it" wants.  |

Thanks for the great replys. No ,we don't feel watched or threatened in any way. We have decided that we can probably live with what ever presence is here. The house is 15 years old, and I happened to run into the previous owner, and he said that the man who owned it before he did died in our bedroom of natural causes. He also said that he experienced hearing the voices and alot of other strange things when he lived here. The basement is older than the house and used to be a feed store. The house was built on top of it later on, so we don't know how old the basement is.  |

OMG, you should read my new posts...I just read this and i have happenings that are very similar, and just like you we just moved into our house (well we moved in in december)...our house is very old, we even have the original titles, and proof of ownership papers.

Wow! That would really spook me on hearing the organ. It must be a really older spirit hanging around. I'm glad you all don't feel it to be a threatening entity and maybe in time, the dogs will get used to it. My dogs do the early morning barking routine too at nothing and there is a spook or two living with me also.  |
