the world has been the way it is for awhile, you're just noticing it more now for some odd reason. Get a newpaper from 50 years ago, the headlines will be the same, in their own time frame of course, the only big difference is technology. People have always been killing other people, there's always a war somewhere, and there's always been kidnapping. The way you decribed it, sounds like you were living in some far off utopia. this is war. things can be stressful in times like this. You have to give yourself a time out when you start getting frazzled-- turn off the TV, go outside, take a long walk in a pleasant place, sit and contemplate all the beautiful things that you can find around you-- plants, animals, a nice view, sweet aromas, people-- friends and families-- how lovely they are when they are just around each other and there is no war, religion, or politics between them. Sometimes, you have to force yourself to see the good things.  |

Yhea I felt the way you do right now when the war started. I even got upset at usmers that did not have my point of view! Anyways I figured nothing was going to change & I accepted that! Next I decided to get rid of the things that were hurting me & upseting me! How? For one thing I shut off my tv! I don't watch the news it's to depressing! I only do what feels good now! Like come spend time on usm! Play soothing music & I pray alot for inner peace! It works! It really does! As for the future who knows! Seems like kids today have good heads on their shoulders! At least from the ones I work with & the ones I see here on usm! I have faith! I am keeping the faith! Just surround your self with things that make you happy & try & forget about the rest! Why? Because you nor me or anyone else can change it! But we can change our selfs!  |

Yes, our world is basically an evil place. The battle between good and evil is endless. Unfortunately, we only have control over ourselves. We should however, never refuse to help those in need or less fortunate than us. This is one way, we make the world a better place. Try not to let the world events get you down too much. I understand though, I dwell on these things also. God bless  |

You're not alone. I've got similar thoughts myself. I still haven't figured out what to do about them, but I did have to get medical attention for them. But in the meantime, do what I do. I can understand how you feel. I have been feeling the same way, not only the major problems of the world but the little things I experience on a daily basis. For instance most humans are selfish ignorant hypocritical cattle that are helpless without the aid and services of paid professionals. Driving in city traffic will give you an idea just how genuine the "Great American genorosity" really is. I deal with whiney lazy overpaid helpless people everyday. The current events of the world also leave me with little optimism, I try not to pay attention to them. You have to admit that so far the 21st century is a huge dissapointment, recession, war, terrorist attacks, and bad music. I guess I have a pretty negative outlook on life which leads me to have feeling of wanting never to exist in this world. I guess Im not much help...........Andy  |
